I’ve been following the news stories about the Bigfoot body found in the north part of Georgia in the U.S. I also saw the picture of the Bigfoot in the freezer and read the information from the guys that found the body. I’m waiting to hear what the DNA testing results are now. I have personal reasons for being very interested in all of this and I’m looking forward to the outcome. I hope that this turns out to be factual and not some elaborate hoax. That would be disappointing indeed…
Update August 24, 2008: It has been revealed that the two Bigfoot “discoverers,” Deputy Sheriff Matthew Whitton and Ricky Dyer, a former corrections officer, had been boasting of nothing more than a rubber costume filled with meat. Before the hoax was exposed, a middleman, William Wald Lett, Jr., working to broker the sale of the “Bigfoot” from the “discoverers” to serious Bigfoot hunter Tom Biscardi, paid the pair $50,000 on Tom’s behalf. Upon discovering that the frozen Bigfoot was non-legit, Lett contacted Whitton and Dyer and asked for the money back; the pair refused. Charges have been filed and Whitton has been fired from his job. For more information on this story ref. Bigfoot Busted!
Too bad but sadly predictable. People seem to enjoy preying on the sensitivities of other people.
What is my personal interest someone asked? I’ve seen one myself, yep sure have, but for obvious reasons I don’t go around talking about it much. If it was someone in a costume than it was in an odd place at an odd time and I don’t know what they (the hoaxer) would have gained from any of it as the people that saw it never mentioned the incident to anyone. I don’t believe we believed what we saw ourselves so no one ever talked… Anyways, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
